Turns out Matt Damon’s got legs. Here’s one of the first looks from the set of Behind The Candelabra. It’s the Liberace biopic HBO is putting on, starring Michael Douglas as the glittery pianist and Damon as his “live-in” chauffeur/undercover boyfriend Scott Thorsen. Liberace was the king of camp back in the day, except he never came out of his no-streaks glass closet. Thorsen sued for palimony in 1982 and wrote a memoir on which the film is based. Liberace tragically passed away due to AIDS in 1987.
I don’t know much about these two, but I do know I’m kinda into Damon’s gay 70s surfer vibe. Can’t you see him dilly-dallying with some of the old-school dick in our “Friday Flashbacks?”

Liberace the gay epic was a campy disaster. Hopefully the producers will capture just that in all it’s mink-lined rhinestone-covered fabulousness.
Steven Soderbergh is directing, so I’m guessing it will be a good film
