I came of age during the disco era, but this is actually the first gay porn film I saw on videotape in the early 80’s. It was hot in a way, but I remember being disturbed by the main character seducing the straight guy away from his girlfriend (there were many shots of her looking forlorn and depressed) and then dumping him. Also, everyone in the film looked like they needed a shower and some shampoo.

How tender, even in the seedy moments. This reminds me a bit of watching PBS’s version of Armistead Maupin’s “Tales of the City.” It’s like archival material of an era that is just gone forever. I was 7 when this film came out.
