A study by the Williams Institute at the UCLA School of Law has shown that same-sex marriages in Massachusetts have pumped over $111 million into the state's economy. With over 12,000 marriages performed, the average couple spent $7,400 on their wedding with one in ten spending over $20,000.
At a time when opponents or politicians on the fence state that the economy should come before this issue, it's now clear that the issue could help the economy. Now how about that?

that is to say; opponents might not like gays getting married, but in this economy they won’t turn down our rainbow dollars…..
I say if it gets us our rights secured, let them be hypocrites this once. Sometimes you need to make sacrifices in the ethical value of your means to get the end result you want.
