Grimes: “Oblivion”

Despite my penchant for obnoxious hipster music, my ears have had trouble connecting with Grimes‘ “critically acclaimed” new album Visions. That said, my eyes had no difficulty connecting with the Canadian artist’s music video for “Oblivion”. If you’re into gratuitous bro-dude flesh, you’ll definitely want to check this out…

  1. So lame in so many ways musically, the scantily clad boys don’t begin to compensate.

  2. That was annoying enough to sit through where the shirtless guys and one ass shot – I feel like I have to go scrape out my ear drums now.

  3. [Bitchy comment.] [Hip reference to someone who’s so much better.] [Bitchy comment.] [Complaint about her makeup.] [Complaint about her hair.] [Complaint about my life.] [Bitchy comment.] [Complaint about Dewitt.] [Bitchy signoff.]

  4. it was a waste of my time i couldnt even listen to her whinny voice i muted it after 30 seconds and the half dresses lads what a dissapointment

  5. I didn’t care for the music, had a tough time figuring out the words, so made no sense to me

  6. At least we saw a little ass at the end….the boyz should have lost their towels at the end lol…but it was different and amusing!!

  7. I thought the video was cute. ^^; It made me think of the 90’s but that mighta just been the production itself…I think this is one of those songs I wouldn’t look for, but I’d hope it was on if I were going to sleep and needed musical help…like the song “Take my breath away”

  8. Well, the guys were cute, and you gotta love Montreal.

Not especially enamored with the song, though.  Annoyingly repetitive, and the girl’s vocals were  just below the point where my ears would start to bleed.

  9. If I tell you that I think Arcade Fire is overrated, are you going to get even more pissy?

De gustibus non est disputandum, Skippy.
