Thanks to hipsters and Lady Gaga, the polaroid camera has experienced a renaissance of sorts. Photographer Benjamin Fredrickson works exclusively within this medium, and his resulting shots are a combination of incredibly erotic, slightly baffling and downright kinky.
The best part? He doesn’t seem to discriminate when it comes to body type, taking shots of everyone from toned skinny boys to the chub next door. And this is only a small sampling of his work! Things get much more extreme (and occasionally unsafe) on the rest of his website. Check ’em out, and let us know what you think!

Some of these are just gorgeous! It takes all kinds of medium to make art. This may not be my favorite, but it has a certain quality that I like.
Lets not confuse hipsterishness with the honesty of photography. This is all tack, and having personally interacted with the said hipster, there was no question left in my mind about his preferred choice of subject- pale faced gay men. This leaves me confused and slightly amused at the singular inclusion of the token black in his series.

Having just finished a big project on Mapplethorpe’s photography, I see a strong imitation here (Mapplethorpe’s work generated reactions not unlike the two prior poster’s). This photographer is going somewhere, but he isn’t quite there yet: some of the images: the Pomeranian, the genital tuck — are quite striking.
I find these photos 2 be a complete waste of film ( that’s my opinion ) I suppose others will find some artistic value . BTW Bumble Bee TOKEN BLACK REALLY !! does everything have 2 be about RACE ? I suggest U visit his website there U will find quite a few more TOKEN BLACKS !!!
I think they’re interesting and show explicitly that gay men are many and varied. My personal favorite is the “nerd” wearing glasses with a nice big dick

I don’t really see any “art” in any of these. And the fact that he photographs unprotected sex makes me lose any little respect I could have had for him and his photos.

I also agree with BlackJackHammer- I haven’t checked out the website yet, but the pics the folks at ManHunt chose to display seem to be heavy on the skinny and light on the chubby. If the guys you chose qualify as chubs then I ought to just stick my head in the oven now and get it over with ha ha ha… I guess the old adage really is true- a 36 inch waist on a ballerina is a problem; a 36 inch waist on a gay man is a disaster.

Art? No. Mapplethorpe- not even close. Ben is a hack-he would go around telling people he was a big photographer and could get them into magazines and the like. The vanity of people willing to believe this crap.
