Believe it or not, reader, freelance blogging isn’t the kind of job that affords me the opportunity to buy, for instance, a $275 Dolce and Gabbana t-shirt with a picture of spaghetti on it. Even if I wanted to, which I don’t… But that doesn’t mean that the wildly expensive Italian fashion house can’t provide me with joys of a different sort.
A couple of years ago they published that book of Mariano Vivanco photos, featuring the uber-sexy David Gandy in all his full-frontal (yet tasteful) glory. And now they’ve done it again, this time with hundreds of Italy’s finest soccer players. Or football players, to use the continental phrasing. They’re fully clothed, sadly, but it should come as no surprise that the men might have you alternately drooling and jizzing all over the book’s 56 pages.
Homotography brings us a sneak preview of the hefty tome, which weighs nearly twelve pounds and featured sixty-seven athletes photographed by Mr. Dolce himself. It originally came out in the fall and it bears a heavy price tag: $200. On the other hand, at full price it only costs half as much as their cheapest pair of jeans.

Putting jocks in front of a camera, with minimal clothing, works for me.
