Do I mildly enjoy Houndmouth because they’re a good band? Or do I mildly enjoy Houndmouth because I want to jizz on their drummer’s beard? These are the questions I have to ask myself! If we’re being entirely honest with one another, I’m thinking it might be the latter… This is sort of a trend for me.
Houndmouth’s “Penitentiary” will surely appeal to anyone who’s a fan of the folksy rock genre. Normally, I’d say I fit into that demographic, but there’s something about this that isn’t fully connecting with me.
Maybe I’d like it more if the drummer let me jizz on his beard.
