A Japanese man wants to wed a sexy comic heroin, so he created a petition
that would allow marriages between humans and cartoon characters.
The leader of this peculiar campaign is Taichi Takashita who says he prefers
women in the "two-dimensional world."
I guess
if this were to happen anywhere, it would be in Japan where some Manga characters achieve
celeb status. In its first week, the petition received 1,000 online signatures
and he is hoping to get one million before presenting it to the government.
Since Japan is a country that fails to give any legal recognition to gay couples, it’s ludicrous to think they would permit marriages between a real person and a
cartoon. Nonetheless, it’s a pretty cute
idea, unless this guy is dead serious, in which case, it’s kinda creepy.
