Remember how Robert Pattinson was named People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive"? Well, that cover was a total fake, and the publication just announced this morning that their pick for Sexiest Man Alive is actually Johnny Depp. He's following in the footsteps of Hugh Jackman, Matt Damon, George Clooney, Matthew McConaughey, Jude Law and… well, himself.
I'm totally cool with Johnny Depp taking the title, but doesn't this seem like they're just recycling? It's only been six years since he last graced the cover, and I think it would have been nice if they let someone bask in the spotlight. It's only a matter of time before they recycle Brad Pitt or George Clooney again, right?

I honestly don’t get this. I’ve heard of girls going crazy over him and I just never got it. He never seemed particularly good-looking, he never seemed all that warm or nice, he hasn’t seemed to contribute to anything other than film.
His characters have been pretty well-portrayed but I hardly think that’s anything to stand on.
would rather have the self-deprecating humor of a Ryan Reynolds (with his kickass bod) than the brooding of Johnny Depp……enjoy Depp’s work, but I look at the hot bods of Reynolds, Taylor Lautner, etc as SEXY.
I with the two posters above; fantastic actor, just never understood why everyone goes crazy over his looks. He isn’t ugly by any means, I’ve just never viewed him as sexy.
I actually didn’t mind the Robert Pattinson cover, but until Tom Brady or Will Smith graces the cover, this magazine is a joke.
Johnny Depp? Seriously? He’s not hot in the least. I’ve never understood this and I probably never will.
Johnny Depp really is a sexy man. His offbeat personality andthose eyes make me melt! BTW, I believe Brad Pitt and George Clooney have been “Sexiest Man Alive” twice each already, just as Johhn Depp has accomplished now.

I adore Johnny Depp and would gladly go to bed with him, but he certainly isn’t the sexist. Brad Pitt doesn’t interest me in the the least… I know, I am apparently insane. Now Gerard Butler, Eric Bana, Will Smith, Tom Brady, Troy Palomalu among others would more than qualify.
I dont think picking johnny was a mistake, but like has already been said, they are recycling him and should let someone else bask in the glory of that title for a year. Has colin farrell ever been picked? i would pick him….well i do more than that to him.
