Josh Brolin has always struck me as the manliest of men whose chest must be brimming with furry follicles. What a shock to find out that he’s almost entirely silky smooth in that particular region. Even his nipples! Josh appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and, during a discussion of what alpha males they both were, bared his chest.
BROLIN: You backed off, you backed off. See I saw the hair on your fingers, I thought ‘he is more of a man than I am’.
STEWART: No, I’m more of an otter than you. You’re not a hirsute gentleman, because I thought…
BROLIN: A hir-sute what’s that?
STEWART: Like a hairy…
BROLIN: Do you want to see?
Hell yes! All hot actors should be doing this when they’re whoring a movie. In fact, they shouldn’t be allowed shirts. I don’t care how cold Letterman keeps his studio. We want nipples.
Back to Brolin. Do you think he shaves his chest? Is there wax involved or is he naturally hairless? And if so, why? Why murder your fuzz? Chest hair is sexy.

I agree that chest hair is sexy. However I can’t find a single photo of Josh Brolin with chest hair. I also believe that Josh Brolin has a fair bit of Native American blood in his family tree…and they aren’t known for being particularly hairy.
this idea though that hairiness = manliness is certainly suspect.
I happen to be quite hairless, just one or two random hairs here and there, if there were any sort of congregation of them to speak of I’d absolutely let them remain but there aren’t, so I don’t. … I don’t know what that means to my status as a man.

The idea that hairless = sexiness is a terrible thing. Bodyhair wasn’t put there to survive in the jungle it was put there to play with while in the bedroom and to keep your partner warm in the winter. All these little girls who want everything shaved on their men because they can’t handle the body as it is are missing out and often ruining their men because they believe in the philosophy of changing your man into what you want him to be rather than loving him just as he is. Sad really.
