We usually highlight health organizations in this space but today we're talking about the Boston Gay Men's Chorus (BGMC). While not technically a health org., the BGMC has infused itself into the GLBT community of Boston throughout it's history.
Each year the BGMC donates more than 300 tickets to gay and lesbian student organizations and to people living with HIV. The Chorus also donates tickets and CDs to support dozens of Boston area non-profit causes. Through its history, the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus has donated an estimated $250,000 back to the community.
This month MANHUNT is especially proud to be sponsoring the BGMC's 2008-2009 season, which includes their annual gala and auction, Crescendo. This year's special guest is funny lady Sandra Bernhard. The event takes place on Saturday May 9, you can learn more here.
