A young Marlon Brando is in my mind the height of masculine sex appeal. I was born in ’91 and neither of my parents were very cultured when it came to cinema so it wasn’t until high school that I became aware of how gorgeous of a man he was.
What seems kinda fucked up to me is that in my high school we had classes on the history of media production. We had lectures about the catalogue of work that came from the likes of Brando, James Dean and other teen heartthrobs of their day. Not once did the teacher mention that Brando was not only bisexual but proud of it.
I can’t help but feel a connection with his words when in 1976 he said: “…Like a large number of men, I, too, have had homosexual experiences, and I am not ashamed. I have never paid much attention to what people think about me.” From what I’ve read it seems like Brando truly was a rebel of his time and a beautiful person. He’s an inspiration to both my heart and my dick.

There was a great film that was released this year consisting mostly of hundreds of hours of Brando’s own audio recordings, where he talks about his career, his life, politics, etc. It’s called “Listen to me Marlon.” It played at the Film Forum here in NYC.
Where can we get that Film ? I adore Brando —-
I don’t know. It was only playing in one movie theater in New York City. It’s a new release. Maybe it will be on Netflix or Hulu, or one of the other streaming services. It may have been a Sundance Film, so maybe on the Sundance channel.
Yes, he was one of a kind. what power that must be, to be able to not care what others think of what you are or do!
And this is the ONLY picture of this iconic GOD you could put up to honor him? I expect so much more from this site….
I’m sure your teacher never mentioned when an actor was straight either. Why would he or she mention sexual orientation unless it had a significant influence on an actors career, which in Brando’s case (James Dean, Rock Hudson, etc.) it did not. BTW, thanks so much for a post that doesn’t center around porn. Much appreciated!
Good point.
One of my framed prints of Brando, photographed in ’53
much better example of Brando! thanks!
