Fire. Car Crash. Shark attack. Burglary. Heart attack. McDonald's running out of McNuggets.
All valid reasons for calling 9-1-1.
At least according to a Florida woman who paid for a 9-piece McNugget but was then told they were all out of McNuggets. The cashier offered the woman food comparable in price, but would not give her money back. That's when the customer dialed the emergency hotline, 3 times! Check out the hillarious 9-1-1 tapes above.

this woman had the right idea, but went about it in the wrong way…
the idea that someone can’t get their money back wehn they aren’t satisfied is crazy.
it costs these fastfood companies like $.40 for an order of nuggets…in these economic times, these fastfood companies aren’t hurting for business…
Indeed. This was worthy of a call to police, I think, but 911? Maybe she didn’t know how else to reach them, which is a shame, probably a large group of people in America who don’t know the normal numbers for police etc.. Or maybe she’s just nuts.
Please–that was a civil matter, not a criminal one. 911 is there to dispatch fire, police, or ambulances. The police would have told her to take it to a small claims or other civil court, and depending on the jurisdiction, probably wouldn’t have even taken a report on it.
She should be charged for abuse of emergency services, and maybe next time she’ll act like a grownup and ask to speak to a manager instead of pulling the adult equivalent of a temper tantrum.
