Mothers of Bullying Victims Speak Out

The mother of the 11-year-old Massachusetts boy who committed suicide due to anti-gay bullying is speaking out on Ellen DeGeneres' show. The mother of another boy, Jaheem Herrera, spoke to CNN about her 12-year-old son's suicide.

Both boys were by all accounts wonderful kids, but faced constant bullying due to their perceived effeminate ways. The harassment eventually took an emotional toll on the youngsters who both hung themselves within a week of each other. After their suicide, both mothers decided to use the tragedy to teach others about the dangers of bullying, which I think is incredibly noble.

Watch their appearances and let me know what you think.

  1. It’s another senseless tragedy. Very sad that these boys were so scared for their lives, and perhaps too ashamed to mention this to a school counselor or even their parents. My heart goes out to their families.

  2. uncommon,
You’re sick bastard. What kind of a human being are you. You’re the useless one and should just shut the fuck up.
