NOM’s Newest Scare Ad

The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) is back with another ad–and this time they're trying to stop gay-marriage in the state of New York. The ad isn't nearly as awful as this monstrosity, but it's still pretty bad.

They even manage to misspell the very thing their trying dearly to protect, check out the spelling of marriage in the last frame.

To counter their negativity, here's a nice clip from the L.A protest, after the JUMP:

  1. Isn’t it a terrible thing that we have a President who opposes gay marraige? Yes, it’s true, Obama’s stated position is that he aggrees with ads like this. And, look what’s he’s doing to gays in the military. Aren’t you so glad you elected such an anti gay President.

  2. Oh, shut up. There are tons of more important things for the President to take care of before gay marriage.

  3. Does anyone else get as much of a kick from these ads as I do? I’ve laughed at every post about them; the entire NOM organization is far too ridiculous to offend me.

  4. What about the final screen cap with same same sex? It wasn’t just the marraige flub!!

  5. Tim and Ass Clown 1. Obama was the better choice if we are soley loking at the situation of gay rights. Obama is still more for gay rights then McCain. McCain voted against the hate crimes bill, and stated he would not try to repeal DADT, and DOMA. Obama is moving slower on these issues for political reasons, but at least he is not opposed to it.

  6. Obama was definitely the better choise. Let’s not forget he has other issues to deal with besides gay rights. The economy and the was in Iraq need to be addressed first.
