Lea Michele, Glee, Gabourey Sidibe, Precious, TV, film, Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Golden Globes, 2010, nominations, Meryl Streep, Julie & Julia, A Single Man, Colin Firth, George Clooney, Up In The Air, Avatar, Tina Fey, 30 Rock, Penelope Cruz, Nine, Sigourney Weaver, Prayers For Bobby, Sandra Bullock

The nominations for the 2010 Golden Globes are here, and wait… Sandra Bullock is nominated for two awards? That can't be right! Someone must have switched the actual list with a fake one. I'll just do some more searching and get to the bottom of this. Please stand by while I rectify this matter.

Oh, this is the actual list? Well, um, congratulations Sandra! Now that we've settled that, let's take a look at some of the other nominees. The unstoppable Meryl Streep has taken in two more nods this year, breaking her own record of most nominations. If she wins for Julie & Julia or It's Complicated, she'll surpass Angela Lansbury and Jack Nicholson for the record of most awards won.

Glee rules television with a total of four nominations, followed by 30 Rock, Mad Men, Dexter, Big Love, Damages and several other series which received three nods. Up In The Air tops the film nominations with a total of six, followed by Nine with five. Avatar and Inglourious Basterds trail just behind them with four nods each. So who are you hoping to see take home an award?

5 thoughts on “Now Presenting The 2010 Golden Globes Nominees…

  1. GO Sigourney Weaver for Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie!! Prayers for Bobby was epic!

  2. Go Mo-Nique she did some fucked up sh!t in Precious people were crying and leaving the theater and she deserves any award shes nominated for if Jane Lynch doesn’t win for best supporting actress i will never watch the globes again i’m not sure how i feel about Tobey Maguire getting a nod for brothers i was not feeling him in that movie and another surprise The Princess and the Frog wasn’t nominated for best song and it had tons of great songs in that movie i thought Down in New Orleans Or Almost There would get nominated for sure Disney has to beat it self with three movies in the category can’t wait to watch

  3. I agree, Mo’Nique should win for sure, that was a powerful, powerful performance.
What I’m a little confused at is how some movies are nominated that aren’t even out yet…

  4. I hope Drew wins for Grey Gardens, I can’t believe that Jessica won and Emmy for that and Drew didn’t. Drew Barrymore BECAME Little Edie for that movie, that was some of the best acting I’ve ever seen.

  5. I hope Mo’Nique wins and GLEE should def win it’s category. Sandra Bullock was great in the Proposal too.
