After trampling the competition on our Weekly Top Ten, Britney Spears has now officially scored her third Billboard 100 chart-topper. Her latest single "3" has debuted in the top spot, making it the first song to do so since Taylor Hicks' 2006 single "Do I Make You Proud". In fact, the last time an artist not tied to American Idol debuted in this spot was 1998, with Lauryn Hill's "Doo Wop (That Thing)". It's kind of a big deal.
And in case you're wondering, we're including our single cover in this post because we like it more than the original. Our only regret is that we didn't use three Britney heads, you know? Then again, I'd take a foursome over a threesome any day!

ugh this song is even worse than Womanizer.
Why is it that her worst songs are the ones that get #1?
wow, very nice to see another no.1
britney should have had many more, the only reason she doesnt is because most of her early songs missed the itunes era.
otherwise she would have had oops i did it again, and toxic, and probably i’m a slave 4u at no.1.
@ randal womanizer was absolutely amazing actually.
3 is really good too.
I have never been a Brittany Spears fan ( nor am I one now ) but I am happy 2 see her bouncing back and I wish her all the continue success !!!!!
