Mike Hadreas (the man known as Perfume Genius) gained a ton of attention for his “Hood” music video, mostly thanks to an extended cameo from hirsute gay porn star Arpad Miklos. He brought in some adorable puppies for the follow-up “Dark Parts”, and now he’s serving up gas station realness (pretend I never said that) for the third single off his sophomore project Put Your Back N 2 It.
Though I’ve yet to have the patience to sit through the entirety of Hadreas’ album, I’ve got to say that “Take Me Home” is my favorite of the three singles. It’s the first song that I’ve actually thought to myself, “Gee, I’d listen to that outside of the context of this music video!”
That sounds so bitchy! But I swear I mean it as a compliment. This is good stuff.

Big fan of the album. It’s a very worthwhile listen. (I actually didn’t even know he was gay until after I got the album, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t make sure to pimp it out to my friends twice as hard once I found out he plays for the team…)
