The same West Hollywood couple who raised controversy by hanging an effigy of Sarah Palin outside their home have 'controversially decorated' again. This time they wanted to say something about the Mormon Church's role in passing Proposition 8. They created a rooftop scene where the Mormon angel Moroni blocks Santa Claus from entering the chimney and spreading holiday cheer, with a CTR symbol (CTR being a Mormon expression, standing for 'choose the right') prominently displayed.
Chad Michael Morrisette explains his display, "See, we were planning on
having a Christmas engagement if Prop. 8 didn't pass. But then enter the
Mormons. Always doing what's right (CTR – Choose the Right)… Anyhow, we are doing what we can
here to bring attention to the injustice."
