Thursday the Supreme Court of California is set to hear arguments on the legality of Proposition 8. With many different groups representing various arguments for and against the ban, the one thing we know that is gay Americans across the country will be watching intently.
The California legislature has passed a resolution calling for the overturn of Prop. 8, citing an argument that will also be made in court. The argument is that Prop. 8 qualifies as a constitutional amendment, and is thus invalid since the correct procedures were not followed for an amendment.
On the other hand, pleading for the court to keep the gay marriage ban is none other than Ken Starr, the prosecutor in the Lewinsky scandal.
Thousands of Californians are marching on the eve of the court hearing, and you can see a promo above for the Eve of Justice and 100,000 March rallies on March 4th and 5th.
Do you think the California Supreme Court will overturn the injustice of Prop. 8?
