Rupert Everett and Lil Wayne Take Swipes At Michael Jackson

Rupert Everett

Oh, Rupert Everett! You'd be sort-of-cute if you didn't constantly flap your trap with crazy nonsense. As if Joan Rivers' tasteless jokes weren't enough, Everett was recently quoted in the UK Mirror calling recently deceased pop star Michael Jackson a "freak" who "looked like a character from Shrek". Here's his full quote:

"I think it was fortuitous that he died…He was supposed to be doing 50 concerts in London. It wouldn’t have mattered how good or bad he was. He wouldn’t have managed to do all of them and the press would have destroyed him. He was a freak. He looked like a character from Shrek. He was a black to white minstrel. He was crucified by that court case when he was accused of child molestation – that killed him. He personified the pain and anxiety of a black man in a slave country. We all watched as he changed from black to white. He was living performance art. You cannot divide the music from the person. I think his life – and death – is a great lesson. I think we are going to see the end of celebrity as we know it. Show business is not an honest profession. It’s like the last days of Versailles. I do wonder how much more bullshit people can take about celebrities. We’re living in very strange times. We have Michael Jackson, a black man who has gone white, and we have President Barack Obama, who is a half white man gone black. It’s absolutely fascinating to watch."

And he's not the only one. In a new freestyle by Lil Wayne, the rapper spouted out, "I pledge allegiance to the flag. Michael Jackson is a fag. Coca Cola, 7-Up. Pepsi Cola burned him up." Will these people just let the man rest in peace? Jeez!

  1. these guys should leave michael jackson alone, he’s an icon and an all around amazing person.
and honestly rupert you can’t point to one person/one situation (mike jack’s skin condition) and make it a barometer of the black experience in america. if you ask me, rupert needs to do a bit more research about african american culture before he makes such sweeping statements.
[Elvis] was a drunk/morbidly obese/racist pig, but he’s considered an icon for some reason…
[Beatles] haven’t had a hit in decades, but you’d be speaking blasphemy if you called them [washed up] or said they were trying to [make a comeback]…

  2. I think Rupert Everett plans to spend the rest of his life holding a grudge against the universe because, in his view, he was passed over for James Bond because he’s openly gay. The fact that he’s a dull actor couldn’t possibly have anything to do with it. So he’s projecting all over the place. There’s my diagnosis!

  3. What R. Everett states is true. Michael Jackson was a black fella who changed himself into being white. There wasn’t anything wrong w/ him as a black man. He was gifted and talented beyond words. Take a good look at some of the pix of family. I pointed out to Mom just recently a pic of Mrs jackson, Michael’s mother…she looks like she had a nose job.
He did get scarey at times and unpredictable. He had a huge obsession with Diana Ross…he wanted to be just like her.
Michael Jackson had some very serious issues. And when you are in the lime light like he was you need to get your act together or get out of the biz. It will destroy you if not careful.
Attacking Rupert Everett for being blunt and honest is uncalled for. A New York politican called Michael a lot of unpleasant things as well. I agreed with him. I have compassion for Michael Jackson. I don’t hate him. He was screwed up and I feel bad for him. But he is responsible for himself like all man is responsible for himself.

  4. Actually, he has some very valid points. He just expressed them in a wicked queen’s way. “You cannot divide the music from the person.
I think his life – and death – is a great lesson.” – (So True) Many lessons actually; Child abuse, fame, drug addiction, power, depression, problems with the law, self hate…. The list goes on and on… How much more could one person handle? Even a super star….

  5. Oh, those prissy queens. Just can’t stand the fact that they will never be close to the star status of Michael Jackson.
It will be interesting to see what they say about both of these people when they die.
    Rupert who? Lil what who?

  6. The Lil Wayne comment is so old. My cousins jumped double dutch to that rhyme in the 80’s.

  7. Mike had his moments. Rupperts should leave Mike alone and he needs to start worrying about his own life; He got neither talent nor skills.
Lil wayne is stupid fucked up guy without talent either. If you listen careful his lyrics you will find that there is great deal in phrase repetitions in all his songs. I dunnoo why people still listen to his songs anyhow.
Everybody is trying to boost his career by critisizing or demeaning Michael Jackson just to get media attention. How sad for cerebrities to go that far for their own personal fame.

  8. Who is Rupert Everett? What has he been in lately that anyone might have seen? He looks a little like that guy in My Best Friend’s Wedding, but more like the overly made up face lift version. So sad that he has to latch on to other’s fame in order to gain press for himself. So focused on the skin color issue…me thinks Mr Everett will next try to gain press by becoming a black man!
