Despite a lot of you complaining that I promote certain artists and badmouth others, you'll notice that my words have very little influence on your voting patterns. Since coming out against Lady Gaga, you've managed to keep two of her songs on the charts. And this week, the only thing stopping her from reclaiming the top spot was the gyrating wonder known as Shakira. Sometimes I wonder if a few of you have been voting for her just to piss me off. Now that I've changed my mind about her, will her songs slip off the charts?
Last week, there was a little bit of a fuss regarding our rule changes. Valid concerns were expressed, but we don't plan on changing them back any time soon. Rest assured that the final scoring of the charts will be as fair as possible, and the winning song won't just be something that shoots to the top at the last minute.
To give some insight, any debut will only count for one point. So if you were put off by Whitney Houston or Madonna's insanely high entries, don't worry too much about it. They're not going to be ranked higher than Britney in the final run (speaking of which, we hear rumors about a fifth single that may slip in at some point).
For those of you just joining us, the current rules are that you can vote for up to three songs from the ten listed. The top five will move on to the following week, along with one song we "save" and four songs inspired by your suggestions. And to alleviate any other fears, any given song can only be saved once. Feel free to leave recommendations on which song we should keep around, though keep in mind that we may ignore you entirely. Yeah, I said it.
So what are you waiting for? There are going to be four empty slots (that's what he said?) next week, and we need you to fill them. Leave a comment suggesting your favorite song, and we'll consider adding it to the list.

To see this week's charts and vote, follow the JUMP:
- Shakira – She Wolf (LW – 1): After hearing one of your awkward sex stories involving a "full blown LYCAN howl", we're beginning to wonder how sexy it actually is when people let their he-wolves out of the closet. Even so, this song is totally bangin'.
- Lady Gaga – LoveGame (LW – 9): So sue me for thinking this song is a little played out. If it just so happens that it flips places with "Paparazzi" until the end of the summer, I'll shut my damn mouth and embrace it.
- Lady Gaga – Paparazzi (LW – 6): I still stand by the fact that this is a much better single, and even I'm impressed by the quality of the video. I wish they had promoted this more in the states!
- Cascada – Evacuate the Dancefloor (LW – 10): After some initial skepticism about this song, a recent drunken epiphany has me realizing that it might be my latest guilty pleasure. People definitely do anything but evacuate the dancefloor when this jam comes on.
- David Guetta f/ Kelly Rowland – When Love Takes Over (LW – 3): You know how we said we might ignore suggestions on which song to save? We were keeping David and Kelly on our minds, given how close they are to the brink of extinction. Please don't make us abuse our powers like that!
- Letoya Luckett – She Ain't Got Shit On Me (DEBUT): We swear this one isn't debuting so high just because of the hot showering guy in the beginning of the video. Even without the awesome dance remixes, Letoya's proven that she's not another one of Destiny's Rejects.
- Mariah Carey – Obsessed (LW – 5): We're just as surprised as you are that this is the song we decided to save. Mimi has been with us from the beginning, and we just couldn't justify throwing her out for some other divas whose songs you weren't feeling.
- Jessica Jarrell – Armageddon (DEBUT): At times, this one sounds like a carbon-copy of our number five song. We still haven't reached a verdict regarding whether that's a good or bad thing.
- Little Boots – Remedy (DEBUT): Someone recommended this one a while back, and we regret taking so long to add it into the mix. Word on the street is that this girl is about to blow up like Lady Gaga.
- Rudenko – Everybody (DEBUT): I personally can't get down with the phrasing on the verses, but two of you suggested this one. Don't act like I never listen!
I think it is time we saw Miley Cyrus with Party in the USA.
As much as I want to hate that Miley Cyrus song…it’s catchy and I can’t get it out of my head.
my new fav track is out of Europe: Ameera – The Sound Of Missing You. A little heartbreaky and very dancey at the same time. I think she is showing a lot of promise, and the track is starting to climb the Billboard Airplay chart
Check out “In the heat of the night” by Star Pilots. It has a very strong Euro sound, but the video is fun. Uses a lot of the stuff from the movie Top Gun. The song is cheesy, but makes you wanna dance.
whatcha say-jason derulo
is it possible for tracks to come back if they already dropped?
cos the new deletion policy is stupid. imagine what billboard would look like if they removed entries from 60 to 100 each week. most of the hits we love wouldnt even make it their second week. why? because it takes time for some songs to gain popularity. deleting them because they didnt manage to top the chart on the second week is honestly super stupid. u deleted madonna and whitney this week as if their heyday was over, instead they are just growing. i’m not gonna ask how whitney could debut at no.2 last week simply receiving a couple of mentions in the comment section (same goes to madonna’s no.4 debut – only me and 2 other ppl recommended her and hey, she debuts at no.4 next week).
dewitt, we know this chart is crap, and we will continue to think so until u start taking it a bit seriously maybe?
changes to make:
1. extend the chart to 20 entries (even though that means u’ll have to write more descriptions and that we will never get rid of gaga… ever)
2. maybe, instead of throwing in recommended acts right on the top of chart, you could crete a mini sub chart for the recommended acts, so that next week we could vote for who would make it into the main chart, instead of placing songs at no.2 based on 2 ppl’s comments. this way everyone will have a better idea. sorry if that’s too complicated, but u don’t have many options for a vote based chart.
anyhow, bring back at least madonna since we cant have britney’s radar back.
we know u r a beyonce boy. all the single ladies crap etc. andy is more of britney guy, at least he writes nicely about her, unlike u 🙂
damn, my thoughts are pretty messy at 4:50am. sry for a disorganized jumpy post :/
oh my gosh…i love Everybody by Rudenko…my favorite song right now…the video is sooo hot!!! =]
Nex, you’re insane. This is a fun little game to keep up with every week and you’re complaining like this is so serious. This ISN’T the Billboard top 100; it’s the “A Few Gay Guys Top 10”. Get a grip, no one has time to do 20 friggin songs, and sub lists and all that, this has been working just fine.
PS. I can’t STAND She-wolf…or Shakira’s voice. How she EVER connects with gay men I’ll never know…her ass shaking doesn’t work on us.
Actually the hottest track on this whole list is at number 10 for me. Everybody is a hot sexy sick ass beat and I love it.
I agree with 1973. U should add “Whatcha Say” by Jason Derulo. U complain about not having any men on this chart and I believe this one would work because there is a woman featured on the song. Plus I listen to it at least once a day every day.
I say you should add
“Take Me On The Floor”
by The Veronicas
AMAZING SONG
=D
TAKE A LISTEN
Rudenko is awesome! Everybody should give ‘Everybody’ a listen!
