For the past couple of days, there's been some major drama between openly gay American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert and OUT magazine. I'll try to get you up to speed, but I apologize if I don't cover everything. It all started when the magazine's editor-in-chief Aaron Hicklin penned an open letter to the pop star.
Hicklin revealed that Lambert's handlers only agreed to let him pose on the cover if it was a group shot, preferably with someone straight. They were also urged to not make him look "too gay" on the cover, which is funny considering that his album cover is one unicorn away from being the gayest thing on the planet. Oh, and did I mention that they were asked to steer the interview away from "gay-gay" questions, particularly items of a political nature?
In true celebrity fashion, Mr. Lambert responded to all the drama via Twitter. This is what he had to say in his open letter: "Dear Aaron, it's def not that deep. Chill! Guess ya gotta get attention for the magazine. U too are at the mercy of the marketing machine. Until we have a meaningful conversation, perhaps you should refrain from projecting your publication's agenda onto my career." Meow!
So whose side are you rooting for? Perhaps they should settle this in an epic, naked cage match. Even though I don't really care about seeing Adam in the buff, Aaron Hicklin is a total salt & pepper fox!
