Hey, New York: Headmaster, the biannual art magazine for man-lovers, will be throwing a party on Sunday to celebrate the new issue. Also it’s Father’s Day. Bring your father (or your daddy) and hang out with the magazine’s editors, contributors, and models. The party kicks off at 6pm at No Malice Palace, a completely unmarked bar on East 3rd Street near Avenue B. (Look for the green lantern and/or the crowd of hot men.) The weather will be nice (!!!) and the drinks will be cheap. Both of those things are good, right?
Headmaster comes out twice a year and it’s classy enough that you can leave it out on your coffee table but provocative enough that you can watch your more prudish guests blush when they see, say, illustrations of guys jerking off with eggplants, disposable camera photos of Steve Cruz giving a blowjob or a naked Jesus wearing a crown of thorns made out of leather and drywall screws.
Headmaster No. 5 features projects related to gay mathematician Alan Turing and the creepy 1970’s brother-on-brother incest novel The Carniverous Lamb. There’s also original artwork that focuses on alchemy, Mannerism, utopias, water, and Serbia. But if that sounds too academic for you, let me also say that there are gold-painted dicks, pissing dicks, dicks appropriated from vintage magazines, and Serbian dicks. (Serbian men are the hottest, by the way.)
If you’re not in New York this weekend the magazine’s also available in stores across the US and Canada, and also you can buy it (or subscribe) online. It’s something you’ll want to hold onto forever.
