Earlier this week, I received a frantic (yet somewhat mysterious message) on Tumblr from an individual claiming to be gay porn star, gorgeous human being and Lucas Entertainment exclusive Justin Cruise. Here is the unedited text:
“Hey buddy, my name is Justin Cruise and I’m very sorry to bother you but I must tell you that I’m in a very difficult situation. Please help me, delete my photos & videos & links with tag Justin Cruise, people around me diminish and disrespect me and send me this and other links 🙁 Let me know if you can help me please :(“
Since I’m not entirely heartless, I made a small effort to search for posts tagged on my Tumblr as “Justin Cruise”. Nothing came up! Just as I was about to dismiss this as a weird hoax from a competitor or enemy of Lucas Entertainment, I saw that Mike Stabile of Gay Porn Blog received a similar message. Keep in mind, this doesn’t necessarily prove that the messages are real or fake, but it does show that I wasn’t alone in receiving them…
It also called attention to the fact that Lucas Entertainment released a scene with Justin just days after these messages went out, which brought up a whole other host of questions.
Are they intentionally endangering the wellbeing of one of their models? Did they release this scene with Vito Gallo out of spite, since Justin is specifically asking people to stop promoting their product? Is it possible that this is a manufactured “scandal” to force us to pay more attention to the studio’s work? If that’s not the case, should they pull all scenes with Justin from their site and ask fans/bloggers to take posts down about him?

Messages asking for posts to be taken = desperate cry for attention to build a porn career. Lame
Nothing moves a product more than drama…even manufactured drama.
Get a life kid, you did it and now the world owns it. Fairly decent PR stunt though I have to admit.
Is it possible that the message you received is from someone actually named “Justin Cruise” who is getting harassment because his name now shows up in association to gay porn, and that he is infact someone completely other than the featured porn actor who’s porn name is Justin Cruise? At least this is my understanding of the “problem”.
Sorry, dude, but you knew what you were doing when you signed the contract and cashed the check. But if this is your “one and done”, wait a few months and another flavor of the day will take your place.
