All together – LET HIM PLAY! LET HIM PLAY! Alan Gendreau was a record-breaker kicker for Middle Tennessee State. I’m no sports expert, but apparently the following is good if you’re a kicker?
“With a PAT in his final game as a Blue Raider, he became the all-time leading scorer in Sun Belt Conference history with 295 points. His longest field goal in college, at 55 yards, was the second-longest ever in the conference. That was 12 yards short of the 67-yard field goals he connected on during team practices; it was even shorter than field goals he kicked in high school.
In his sophomore and junior years, he was 28-of-34 for an 82-percent conversion rate. In 2009, he was a national semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award that honors the top college place-kicker in the U.S.”
Right? Or something? Anyway, Alan didn’t pursue his kicking career after college because he felt the NFL wouldn’t love him being gay (gee, why would he feel that way?). But now he’s trying to ramp it up so the NFL will give him a look-see. The interesting thing about Alan is that (besides being hot) he’s openly gay and a devout Christian. Apparently that works for some people. His college team knew and embraced him.
In an interview with OutSports, a sports super agent thinks Alan has a shot.
“His sexual orientation is not going to matter one bit,” said super agent Leigh Steinberg, who has represented the likes of Hall of Famers Warren Moon, Troy Aikman and Thurman Thomas, among others. “The only thing that matters is if he can put that ball between those goal posts. If he can do that, and if he can do it consistently, he’ll have a shot at the NFL.”
He can do this! Let’s rally behind Alan to make sure he makes it on to a team. Because we need a hot homosexual playing football. And kicking things. Anyway, here’s some pics. And yes, I’d still be posting about him if he was fug. No, I wouldn’t .Ugh. We’re so shallow here.
