UK boy band The Wanted have struggled to snag another stateside Top 40 hit since “Glad You Came“, peaking right around the edge with “Chasing The Sun” and failing rather miserably with the straight-out-of-Ibiza follow-up “I Found You“. Whether you agree or not, the fact remains—their brand of pop music isn’t as charming or annoyingly catchy as One Direction. They’re not bringing much to the table beyond dance beats and generic lyrics that my cat could have written in his sleep… But who cares? They have bodies like this. And dick picture scandals.
The fivesome’s new single “Walks Like Rihanna” is so dumb that, based on the novelty alone, it might actually work. This is the first time that the boys seem interesting or humorous, and a little personality can go a long way in the game of relevance. On the other hand? It could totally backfire on them.
At least they’re not singing about their penises.
