This is one of those clips that gave me the happy chills. Paige Elliot Phoenix, 35, is a female-to-male transsexual who tore it up with INXS’ “Never Tear Us Apart” on Australia’s The X Factor. And he’s cute, huh? Does he have the best voice? No. But he has a GOOD voice, and stage presence/charisma. The judges (including Scary Spice) voted to move him along up the ranks.
It was kinda cool to see how warmly the audience (which seemed to be largely composed of families and younger people) received him. They didn’t seem to give a shit WHO he was born as, they just thought he was an awesome performer. Nice.

Double Wow! This is one of the most inspiring stories about a “real” singer I’ve heard in a long time, and while listening to Paige before, during and after, tears rolled down my face. It truly takes a brave person
to open up on a national music show, and I feel Paige has a career in music.
I am now a member of Team Paige, and look forward to hearing more from him.
