When ABC‘s What Would You Do? decided to test people’s reactions to intolerance toward gay couples at restaurants, the results weren’t great…
The show set up actors playing gay families that were being harassed and eventually kicked out of a restaurant by an intolerant waiter (also an actor). In most cases people didn’t do anything, but there were some exceptional people who did.
It’s an interesting watch to say the least…

That’s fake as hell. I’ve never had a waiter ask what relation you were to whoever you are eating with. They should’ve answered “None of your damn busines, now get me a sprite!”
These situations are just so bizarre sometimes… Personally as a waiter, you’re trying to turn tables and make money not run your mouth about things that don’t concern you. When i see these scenarios, I know personally I would speak out if I found it offensive.
If you’re living your own life to the fullest then you honestly shouldn’t have time/energy to focus on how other people are living their lives and who they choose to sleep with.
The racism that minorities get on that show is horrible. It is really heartbreaking….
I live in a state where they can turn away people for anything or be fired for anything and I’ve actually had a similar thing happen to us actually twice in one week….We were looking to rent a room for a wedding of a friend of ours….Asked for a king size bed and the person over the phone asked my boyfriend…”Oh so you and your wife” he said no it would be me and my boyfriend…The person over the phone said can you please hold and then he came back with the answer “I’m sorry there is no vacancy for you” …..In some cases yes everyone is subjected to discrimination….and NONE of it should be accepted or tolerated…I’m sorry for those straight/gay/transgender that have been subjected to this kind of behavior…
