If the current numbers are any indication, FTM model, bodybuilder and activist Aydian Dowling could make history by becoming the first trans man to appear on the cover of a mainstream magazine. He maintains a solid lead in Men’s Health‘s Ultimate Guy Search, bringing in nearly twice as many votes as his nearest competition, Brian Taylor.
Aside from coming out ahead in the general voting process, Dowling also leads in the contest’s four main categories—most physically fit, healthiest lifestyle, most giving and most successful. To win, he’ll have to continue at this rate until online voting concludes on June 25, then impress a panel of judges in a series of telephone and in-person interviews.
Dowling previously made headlines by recreating a somewhat famous nude photo shoot by Adam Levine for FTM Magazine. He is one of three trans men competing in the Ultimate Guy Search, alongside diabetic fitness enthusiast Sydney A. and adult star Buck Angel. The latter has also made the top twenty.

Your “argument”, which lacks factual data and is an opinion without merit in today’s world, sucks. Plain and simple. And why should we have to counter any such argument in this modern world with anything more than no, please stop talking, is beyond me. As a member of the LGBT community, you are showing the exclusive, hateful nature that allows for our actual opposition, like the Republican lawmakers, to hurt us. Until we start to be one-hundred percent inclusive and accept everyone for who they are – especially those who do actually identify as and choose to live their lives as the opposite of their birth gender, much like Aydian has chosen to do – we are doing the work for them.
