The puppet-ridden musical that taught us such life lessons as "The Internet is For Porn" and "There is Life Outside Your Apartment" will be closing on September 13. That's right theater queens–Avenue Q will no longer be on Broadway… for now. After over six years, the show will become the twentieth longest-running Broadway production, falling directly under Hairspray. Let us take a moment to recall our memories of the production and its soundtrack.
You Can Be As Loud As The Hell You Want (When You’re Crying About Avenue Q Closing)
– Dewitt
Damn. I haven’t seen the play yet (it’s supposed to be coming to my metro area of Seattle soon), but I love the soundtrack. I can’t wait to see it and put puppet faces to voices.
BTW, you left out my second favorite songs from the play, “Everyone’s a Little Bit Racist”. Hilarious, and food for thought.
But that’s what this play is all about, isn’t it?
